Snowdrop: It blooms before deciduous trees, when enough light reaches the surface of the soil. The leaf is 5-9 mm wide. it consists of three outer, longer and three inner, shorter leaflets.

curiosity: In 2017, the snowdrop became the wildflower of the year in Hungary. The collection of bulbs and flowers is prohibited in Hungary. The snowdrop is an herb.

 

Santa claus flower: It grows to a maximum height of 4 meters. Red is the most popular one, but white and pink flowers are also available. It likes 16-20 degrees C during the flowering time. In winter, in a warm, heated apartment, the plant dries quickly, so water it regularly.

Attention: Santa's flower contains milk juice, which is toxic. If it contacts the skin, it may cause irritation, allergic reactions, ingestion may cause stomach upset and vomiting.

 

Christmas cactus: They come from Brazil. The Christmas cactus doesn’t like too dry air and scorching sun. If they are burnt, they heal slowly. They bloom around Christmas. It grows up to 30 cm. The length of the flowers is 6-8 cm. It has no thorns. It is very sensitive to rot: do not let the water stop underneath!
